Sinuous lamp
3D printed ABS-M30
Fall 2017


Inspired by both the human body and the waves of the sea, the Sinuous lamp curves and spreads to reveal strips of light shining out the top and sides of the table lamp. Both the lamp body and the hardware housing were 3D printed in ABS-M30 plastic and fitted with an LED bulb to keep the temperature low. Modeled in 3DS Max.

Brim bowls

Three complementary bowls sit on their edges and are enjoyable from every angle. The unique brim around the edges of the bowls keep the food from rolling onto the table while adding aesthetic charm. Designed in AutoCAD, plasma cut with Torchmate, hand-filed, bent, sand-blasted, and then sent to be professionally powder-coated in FDA approved paint.

A desk organizer for anyone who thinks outside the box, these containers fold up to points that refuse to meet, creating eye-catching gaps and visual dissonance. 

Designed in Inventor, laid out in AutoCAD, plasma cut with Torchmate, hand-filed, bent, sand-blasted, and then sent to be professionally powder-coated in FDA approved paint.

Petrous tray prototype

This angular whiskey tray is meant to reflect the calloused drinker enjoying it. Inspired by rocky terrain, layers of wood were glued together to create not only stable places to set drinks, but to create waves of movement. Designed in AutoCAD, assembled in Inventor, CNC routed with Laserworx, and hand sanded, glued, and oiled.

Avo tray and candle holder

This snack tray and candle holder combination was inspired by the shape of the ever-popular avocado. The outer ring is meant for snacks to be enjoyed at every angle, and the inner portion is empty for any shells, rinds, wrappers, seeds, or pits to be placed. In this way, the function of the tray also represents to the portions of the avocado fruit and pit. Designed in AutoCAD, CNC routed with Laserworx, and hand sanded, glued, and oiled.
